  • Jam Session

    Join us at 10:30 am on Wednesday, November 26th for some wonderful music provided by local musicians.  At noon we will eat lunch together.  We will be having pulled pork sandwiches and mac and cheese for lunch!


    There will be no Jam Session in December.

  • Book Club

    Join us on Monday, December 1st.  We will be discussing The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires.

  • Community Breakfast with The Mayor!

    Every Wednesday from 8:00-10:00 am we serve biscuits and gravy at The Center!  

    Half Order - $2.00

    Full Order - $3.50

    Coffee - $.50


    On the first Wednesday of the month we also add pancakes for $1.00 each.  Also, on the first Wednesday the Mayor (or someone else from the Village) joins us to tell us what is going on in Mt. Morris.


    All are welcome, and we hope you can join us for a morning soon!

  • Potluck

    All are welcome at our monthly potluck.  

    Two chances in December!


    On December 4th at 6 pm we will have a finger food potluck and an ornament exchange!  Bring a finger food dish to pass to celebrate being together as we enter the holiday season.  If you would like to participate in the ornament exchange, please also bring an ornament. 


    On December 9th we will have a Christmas Potluck and Sing-a-long at noon!  Our local musicians will be joining us to sing Christmas songs.  Please bring a dish to share!  Feel free to wear your favorite ugly Christmas Sweater!

  • Diamond Painting

    On the first and third (and 5th) Fridays of each month you can join us for a relaxing morning of diamond painting.

    We have projects for purchase (most ranging from $1 to $5) and all are welcome!

    Come on by, there is no preregistration necessary.

  • Euchre Tournament

    Join us for a free Euchre Tournament on Thursday, December 11th at 6 pm. 

    Bring a snack to share if you want to, and be ready for fun!

    There will be prizes given out at the end.

  • Bingo & Birthday Party

    Join us for FREE Bingo at 10:30 am on Wednesday, December 17th.  


    At 11:30 am Allure of Pinecrest will serve a delicious lunch.  All are welcome to join us, but please let us know you are coming by calling 815-734-6335.

  • Trivia & Tacos

    Bring your team or just yourself for a night of trivia on Thursday, December 18th at 6:00 pm.  

    Tacos are $2 each and Trivia is $2 per person.  We would love to have you join us!

  • Community Movie at The Center!

    Join us for a movie on the big screen Monday, December 22nd at 6 pm!  We will have popcorn and fun as we enjoy a family friendly Christmas movie.  All ages are welcome!

  • Walk & Stretch Class

    Highland Community College sponsors this fitness class at The Center!  


    We meet every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (except holidays) at 9:00 am.  The class lasts one hour, and everyone works out at their own level.  Come and try the class anytime!


    This class costs $50.00 for 10 weeks or 30 classes.  Members of The Center get a 10% discount.

The mission of the Mt. Morris Senior & Community Center is to provide services, programs, and resources for the area's seniors, families, and people of all ages, that promote healthy lifestyles and lifelong learning, to support independence, and to encourage involvement in diverse community life.

What We Do

Established in 1976, the Mt Morris Senior and Community Center is committed to promoting the general welfare and fostering the development of programs and services for older adults and the community. We also strive to cultivate friendships, develop mutual interests, share social, educational, health and fitness benefits, and to educate the community about the needs and capabilities of senior citizens.
